The shoes that I use in this sequence are Barbie shoes, manipulated using Photoshop so that they fit onto human legs. The sequence draws attention and playfully mocks the idea that girls are constantly dressed up and waiting in line. Whether waiting to get into a bar, a concert, a religious service or the bathroom; girls are constantly standing (usually on top of each other) for long periods of time wearing ridiculously uncomfortable shoes. I use Barbie shoes (which are known to be absurdly high and painful looking) and pile the girls somewhat on top of each other in order to depict just how unbearable yet humorous this common and relatable situation can be.
